The Fourth Hunan Province Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Concluded, Reaching 1.2 Billion Yuan in Investment Intentions

　　Rednet Time, October 12 (Reporter Li Xin, Photographer Chen Jie) This afternoon, the awards ceremony of the "Bank of Changsha Cup" 6th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition (Hunan Division) and the 4th Hunan Province Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Changsha. Hunan RunZe Medical Imaging Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Huateng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Zhongsen Environmental Protection won the first prizes in the startup enterprise group, growth enterprise group, and team group respectively.

　　Leaders including Vice Governor of Hunan Province Xiang Lili and Party Secretary of the Provincial Science and Technology Department Tong Xudong attended the awards ceremony and presented awards to the winning representatives.

　　The China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is a national entrepreneurial competition jointly guided and held by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. The competition aims to respond to the call for mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and to guide a wider range of social resources to support innovation and entrepreneurship. The Hunan Province Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition is connected upstream to the China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition and downstream to various municipal and thematic competitions.

　　The theme of this competition is "Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Realizing Dreams in Hunan", co-hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology together with the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Cyberspace Administration, the Provincial Youth League Committee, and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce. Since the competition was launched on May 11, a total of 1,914 projects have registered, including 997 in the enterprise category, ranking 8th among provincial sub-competitions nationwide; 917 teams registered, setting a new record in the number of participants. The participating projects cover more than 120 counties and urban areas, over 50 universities and research institutes across the province.

　　From October 11 to 12, the finals of the 4th Hunan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition were held in Changsha. The finals selected one first prize, two second prizes, and three third prizes in the team, startup enterprise, and growth enterprise categories respectively. Among them, Hunan Runze Medical Imaging Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Huateng Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Zhongshen Environmental Protection won first prizes in the startup enterprise, growth enterprise, and team categories respectively.

　　An intention investment signing ceremony for the 4th Hunan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was also held on site. As of now, investment institutions and participating projects have reached an investment intention of 1.2417 billion yuan, with some participating projects receiving high attention and actual investment from top domestic investment institutions. Bank of Changsha has an intended credit line of 280 million yuan.

　　Xiang Lili demanded that departments at all levels in the province continue to consolidate the increasingly strong atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship, create a good environment in the whole society that encourages innovation, supports entrepreneurship, and tolerates failure, so that the culture of innovation becomes deeply rooted in people's hearts. All research institutes and universities in the province should open their doors, cooperate extensively with enterprises and makers in various ways, strengthen coordination, and form synergy.
