Hong Kong Daily News (Reporter Zhou Mengzhu) In the afternoon of August 25, the Hunan regional roadshow of the Zhejiang University Alumni Entrepreneurship Competition was successfully held in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The competition was hosted by the Zhejiang University Alumni Association, and undertaken by the Southern Region Zhejiang University Alumni Association. Attendees included Cao Yijia, Vice President of Hunan University; Huang Wenbao, Chairman of Huazih Tech Co., Ltd.; Jiang Zhengchun, Chairman and General Manager of Changsha Shidai Fire-fighting Equipment Engineering Co., Ltd.; Cheng Sixi, General Manager of Hunan Hengji Investment Management Consulting Co., Ltd.; Hu Zhi, Executive Vice President of Huohai Wealth Fund Management (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.; and Xun Ge, Professor at the School of Economics of Central South University of Forestry and Technology, who served as members of the review committee.
According to a CAN reporter, the Zhejiang University Alumni Entrepreneurship Competition has now been held for four sessions. Globally, it is divided into eight regions: East, South, West, North, Hangzhou headquarters, North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. The Hunan regional competition started on July 1 and received broad attention from Zhejiang University alumni in Hunan. Entrepreneurial teams from fields including agricultural equipment, new energy batteries, automobile manufacturing, information technology, and education training actively participated. Eventually, 10 teams entered the competition stage, competing for spots in the southern region finals to be held in Hunan in October, with opportunities to be selected for the global finals.
After the project roadshows, expert inquiries, and comments, the competition awarded 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes. Among them, Hunan Dingjiu Energy & Environment Technology Co., Ltd.'s environmental sludge carbonization project won the first prize. Hunan Lifang New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.'s solid-state ultra-thin lithium battery development and application project, Hunan Kuangwei Technology Co., Ltd.'s Suowuwei project, and Huayuan Ecological Co., Ltd.'s Huarui Pastoral fully automatic intelligent hydroponic system project won second prizes. The project of Zhixiang Future Health Technology (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. based on the CDSS-assisted medical application of the Big Superman clinical decision support system and other three other team projects received third prizes.
The competition is themed “Technology & Innovation.” The chair of the organizing committee, Mr. Tang Tiandian, Chairman of Hunan New Changhai Development Group Co., Ltd., stated that innovation is the primary driving force for development. Alumni of Zhejiang University in Hunan, carrying the legacy of seeking truth and innovation, have always contributed their wisdom to Hunan's entrepreneurial development. In the future, Zhejiang University alumni in Hunan will continue to respond to the national entrepreneurship and innovation policies, striving to build a prosperous, beautiful, and happy new Hunan.
