Traditional methods such as landfill, incineration, and composting are prone to secondary pollution and have low resource utilization rates. Hunan Dingjiu focuses on industry pain points, aiming for "reduction, stabilization, harmlessness, and resource utilization." Through innovative carbonization technology, using intelligent temperature control, anoxic pyrolysis, and other technical means, the sludge is converted into biochar with a certain calorific value. The degradation rate of organic matter exceeds 98%, the heavy metal solidification rate reaches over 95%, and energy consumption is reduced by 40% compared to traditional processes. Biochar can be utilized as renewable fuel, soil conditioner, landscaping, and raw material for carbon-based fertilizers.
Currently, this technology has been successfully applied in projects such as the Chengbei Wastewater Treatment Plant in Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone and the Zhongxin Industrial Park in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou. It processes over 60,000 tons of sludge annually, with carbon emission reductions equivalent to planting 36,000 trees.
Policy Empowerment: Seizing the Development Opportunities of “Zero-Waste City”
With the “14th Five-Year Plan” setting a mandatory target of over 90% for sludge treatment rate, and the full rollout of “Zero-Waste City” construction, the sludge resource utilization market is experiencing explosive growth. Jiang Liangjun, Chairman of Hunan Dingjiu, stated: “The implementation of our patent achievements confirms the company's strategic direction of ‘establishing itself through technology.’ In the next three years, we will build a national demonstration project for sludge treatment, promote the large-scale application of biochar in environmental protection materials, soil remediation, and other fields, aiming to capture 20% of the domestic market share in sludge carbonization segment, and contribute to achieving the ‘dual carbon’ goals.”
