Chen Tongbin: Exploring Cooperation Models for Sludge Treatment and Disposal

On December 9, the "Harmless Treatment and Disposal of Sludge" sub-forum of the 11th China Urban Water Conference was held at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center. Chen Tongbin, vice chairman of the National Sludge Treatment and Disposal Promotion Association and researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, chaired the sub-forum and delivered an excellent speech on "Exploration of Cooperation Models for Sludge Treatment and Disposal".

Chen Tongbin stated that the sludge industry should promote a whole-industry-chain professional cooperation model. Priority should be given to purchasing mature technology products and services, promoting the standardization of sludge engineering construction and management, and properly solving the issues of sludge engineering trusteeship operation and product outlet. Only by organically combining technology, talent, channels, and capital, with professional division of labor and strong alliances, can sludge treatment and disposal work be more effectively advanced.
