Sludge Carbonization Turns into Biochar Fertilizer and Soil Remediation Agent

Every day, the Chengbei Wastewater Treatment Plant produces over 45 tons of sludge with a moisture content of about 80%, which needs to be transported by special trucks to brick factories as raw material for brick making. Inside the workshop, the reporter saw that after high-temperature carbonization, the sludge had turned from yellow to black, becoming reusable biomass charcoal. According to the on-site person in charge, sludge is lifted from the sludge storage tank into the sewage pipeline inside the plant, and the dewatered sludge is converted into biomass charcoal.
